Actors in Progress is an industry showcase for Dorsey Studios'
students. Students who are ready to perform in front of an
audience present monologues and scenes to agents, casting directors,
friends, and family.
Newer students also gain experience by acting as hosts for the
evening - welcoming the audience and providing introductions to each
performance piece. Students also gain invaluable production
experience by learning how a show is put together, from rehearsal to
closing night.
This fun and exciting event takes place 3 times a year in our
70-seat theatre. Many students find that agents who see their work
at Actors in Progress often become interested in representing them. |
